Community Spotlight: Edmond, Oklahoma
The city of Edmond is located in the heart of Oklahoma. Many residents and visitors alike consider the city to be the “Crown Jewel” of Oklahoma. It’s located on the famous scenic Route 66. Recently, the University of Central Oklahoma received some good news. They were recognized as having one of the friendliest work environments in the U.S. The university was recognized one of the “2014 Great Colleges to Work For.” It’s one of only a handful of institutions in the nation to receive the honor.

The university ranks among the best in several categories including job satisfaction, work-life balance, and leadership. Over 44,000 people from 278 institutions participated in the survey evaluating colleges across the nation. The university joins the prestigious list next to Duke and Notre Dame.
